Before we get ahead of ourselves…

We know that there are lots of new and delicious diet friendly foods out there, but before we mention any of them we thought it was important to mention the best food finds aroundFruits Keep You Healthy - FRUITS AND VEGETABLES! Fruits and veggies truly are the backbone of any successful attempt at weight loss and there are so many different ways to eat them, cook them, and generally enjoy them. For a few ideas, check out the Recipe Box and Recipe Swap. Happy munching!

Edy’s Rich and Creamy Slow Churned Light Ice Cream

Edy's Chocolate Fudge ChunkAs a social experiment, we served the Chocolate Fudge Chunk flavor of this ice cream (120 calories per half cup) at a dinner party last weekend. We were sure our fellow dieters would love it, but what about the fellas? We are pleased to announce the results of this study: not one attendee had anything but oohs and ahhs over this tasty treat. How’s that for a scientific method?

The Famous Tofu Shirataki Noodles

We have got to give props to Hungry Girl (www.hungry-girl.com) for alerting us to this incredible food find. Somehow, the folks at Tofu Shirataki have figured out how to make 20 calorie noodles that taste shockingly close to Shirataki Tofu Noodlesthe real thing! We know, we know, it sounds too good to be true, right? As foodies, we’re here to tell you that it isn’t. Of course, nothing is perfect. When you open the noodle packet, you’ll notice a strange scent. Don’t let it scare you off. Rinse them well and it’ll be gone. We like to eat these when we’re splurging on a creamy sauce.

We’ve noticed that they’re a little tough to find in stores, but you can order them for $1.99 per 8oz bag at Amazon.
